   Gurukulam
Gurukula system is an ancient method of teaching in India.  In this system, the pupils are required to stay with the teacher (The Guru) and learn the Vedas and Shad Darshanas (i.e. the six systems of Indian philosophy) together with its branches viz. Shiksha, Kalpa, Vyakarana, Niruktham,Jyothisham and Chandas in its right order. The Gurukulam meets the entire expenses like boarding, lodging, food, clothes, books etc. of the student.  As it is ve-
